Cosy Canton

Close to the city of Cardiff South Wales

This cosy little Airbnb is situated in the up-and-coming area of Canton, about a 10 minute drive from Cardiff city centre.  Situated just off Canton High Street, this Airbnb is within a two minute walk to all that Canton has to offer. This includes several supermarkets, a park and a good range of independent restaurants.

The property is a converted garage (and the hosts are located next door). They are extremely helpful and attentive and were on hand for any questions/issues. The space is limited here but it has all the facilities required for a comfortable stay.

There is a double bed with space beneath for a hoist. The area around the bed is tight and a wheelchair user can only access it on one side. There is also a small folding sofa bed in this room, which would be suitable for children.

Kitchen facilities include a sink, portable gas ring, microwave oven and a fridge freezer.

The bathroom is a small wet room with a folding wall shower chair. The limited space here can make using a hoist very tight. The toilet is close to the wall with a handrail on either side. This toilet is only suitable for left-hand transfers. The sink is small with space underneath for a wheelchair.

The small garden was under refurbishment during my stay.

The main challenge I found was with parking. The only available parking is on the street, however the host does provide a parking permit. There is a car garage next door which makes parking busy and it can be difficult to get a parking space close to the property.
