Hope Cross – Vicarage Farm

Hope Cross bungalow is located down a quiet country lane in the Derbyshire Dales near a small village of Wheston. A little drive away is the beautiful town of Bakewell with all amenities and some lovely independent bakeries and cafes.

Hope Cross is a beautifully refurbished barn style cottage. Facilities include a double bedroom with en-suite and a large bedroom with single electric bed and single carer’s bed. Electric hoist and wheeling shower wheelchair is included. The main bathroom is a large wetroom with rainfall shower head and small detachable shower head. The toilet is suitable for a right-hand transfer and very close to the wall on the left side when facing the toilet, it would be a tight squeeze if carers are required either side.

Other facilities include open plan full kitchen, dining and living area. The living area includes a two-seater sofa and armchair which tilts forward for easier standing.

Owners of the bungalow are on hand when needed and have other bookable accommodation on the opposite side of the lane.

The nearby village of Wheston has a pub and a highly recommended fish and chip shop named Elliot’s.
